Eagle Scouts Revamp our Street-Front!
Over two weekends, an Eagle Scout project was executed to pull out our overgrown and chaotic street-front garden. With shovels, pruners, and plants in hand, these scouts, friends and family tamed the wild beast and added a little beauty to the downtown area. See some pictures! If you have an idea how you can help, let us know!

Habitat Myths!
Many people believe we just give our homes away...  Not true!  Through a solid application process, Habitat Homeowners are selected based not only on need but also the ability and confidence we have in that future homeowner to maintain the home physically as well as financially.  Habitat is not a giveaway program. In addition to a down payment and the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor — sweat equity — into building their Habitat house and the houses of others. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans
